Eight Auto Show 2017

The 8th edition of the automotive industry’s exhibition in Argentina took place from June10th to June 20th 2017,it gathered more thanhalf a million people, 77novelties for the local and regional market, two firsts (at regional and global level) and an outstanding group of brands.


In the eighth edition of this traditional meeting, the 11 argentine automotive terminals members of the Association of Automotive Makers (ADEFA), together with a large group of importing companies and suppliers of equipments and services, redoubled the bet in the area of attractions, novelties and staging.

With the experience and know-how of "AMC Promociones",the international Auto Show of Buenos Aires 2017 received the visit from the President of the Nation, Mauricio Macri. Likewise, it was the chosen field by the Minister of Transport, Guillermo Dietrich to introduce the progress of the National Plan of National Transport and infrastructure.

In its eighth edition, the Auto Show which is held every two years and integrates OICA’s international calendar, had the support from different organizations of theNational, Provincial State and CABA and the acknowledgement by the Minister of Tourism of the Nation, who declared it of tourist interest for the spreading and promotion of our country.

The exhibition of the automotive industry offered, among other attractions, the opportunity to experience a unique moment on the Off RoadCircuit with the testingof pickups and SUV driven by professionals, the exhibition of classical cars, the "TC Cupecitas"(coupes) that followed the National Route 40 from La Quiacato Río Gallegos; a chronological collection of Rolls Royce and a tribute to Fangio and Gálvez.

One of the highlighted attractions which presented this seventh Auto Show was an unprecedented tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio, after 104 years of his birth, which was located in the Blue Pavilion and which moved thousands of visitors.

Furthermore, the Rumbler Club exhibited the first carmanufactured in 1902 and another belonging to Sandro, remodeled and personally decorated by “El Gitano” (the Gypsy). The Museum of Lujánparticipated with the Popemobile and one armored presidential Rumbler, while the Museum of Campana presented the first Argentinean car of 1907.

One of the remarkable attractions which this Auto Show presented was "El Dorado II", the restored presidential Cadillac of 1955, in addition to a well-deserved tribute to the Argentinean designer, Horacio Pagani, hosted in the Blue Pavilionwhich was crowned by the stunning "Pagani ZondaRevolución". The Auto Show together with civil associations and public and private bodies performed different activities with the purpose of spreading and installing road safety and the knowledge of the standards. This was carried out through the Road Education track for the kids, simulation games for the young people and the handing out of informative and educational material.
